The Thematic areas The Thematic Areas on which the District operates are derived from in-depth studies, aimed at identifying the industrial priorities of the territory and the technological skills that can be associated to favor the innovation of products, processes and services, in strict compliance with the Regional Strategy of Intelligent Specialization for Research and Innovation (S3) of Ligurian Region.

The result is an approach based on “transversality and reuse“, in which enabling technologies and macro areas are used for developments aimed at specific sectors in which the District has relevant skills (Automation, Complex Organizations, Solutions for Safety and Security, Monitoring and Control of the territory, Mobility Systems and Logistics) and for collaborations in sectors such as Energy and Life Sciences.
