Research infrastructures
SIIT, together with the University of Genoa – Department of Savona, addressed the creation of a Multidomain Research Infrastructure, as part of the ERDF funding action 1.5.1 – “Support for research infrastructures considered critical / crucial for regional systems”.
In this context, SIIT manages 3 I.R. focused on three specific domains that refer to the two Research and Innovation Poles TRANSIT and SOSIA:
ITS Research Infrastructure
It addresses the issues of sustainable mobility, ports and logistics, and transport safety
4.0 Research Infrastructure
Addresses the issues of automation and Industry 4.0
ICT Research Infrastructure
Addresses the issues of environmental safety, critical infrastructures and public areas.
To each I.R. about fifteen SMEs are associated, in addition to Genoa’s University and SIIT itself.
